About The Pub

The Sun Tavern is perfectly situated just a 2-minute walk from Covent Garden tube station, offering a convenient escape from the buzz of London’s West End. With a charming Art-Deco vibe, it's the ideal spot for a social drink, catching up with friends, or enjoying a home-cooked meal by the roaring fire.

Our spacious upstairs bar and dining area provide a tranquil retreat. You are also able to reserve the bar exclusively making it the ideal event space, especially as we do not request a hire fee. We can seat up to 40 guests seated or up to 70 people standing and offer a fantastic buffet menu suited to all budgets!

We are proud of our freshly prepared, British pub menu. Where possible we use locally sourced suppliers and ingredients and whilst we make sure not to compromise on quality – our menu is excellent value for money

Our wine menu been carefully selected to offer a variety of both old and new world wines. We recommend you try the Chapel Down Brut NV. A great example of a classic English sparkling wine, grown and produced in Kent.

I spent a lovely evening at the Sun Tavern. I had booked a table for my team’s Christmas drinks. The service was fast and easy going, the wine was good and my colleagues enjoyed the beers as well! There was a small menu of bites to eat which worked very well with the drinks. There was live music which was a real treat. I highly recommend for after works drinks, and finger food. Super convivial atmosphere.

We had a lovely pre-Christmas afternoon here. It was very close to Covent Garden, but felt far away from the madness and crowds, with a very friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent. An added bonus was we left something behind, and they very kindly posted it on to us, and refused payment for the postage!
